Unsponsored Review of the FabFitFun Summer 2022 Box
Well, I have to admit one of my biggest weaknesses is my curiosity. I’ve seen ads for FabFitFun, a quarterly subscription box, but it wasn’t until Fall 2021 that I succumbed and signed up. Sadly I was too swamped with other obligations to film my first two boxes, but not too busy for the Summer box.
This is my third box overall, but my first box for Summer. I hope this box review (and my other reviews) is a helpful perspective for you if you were thinking of signing up yourself!

Category 1, Summer Box 2022
Free People Cara Seamless Bralette (S/M)
It was smaller than I expected, in person. This is my bad since I know that Free People has a tendency to run small.
If they had a M/L, I would’ve gone for that, but the only other size available was L/XL, which might’ve been better for me.
Otherwise, it fits well enough. There is the slight problem of, well, nips poking through, but I knew that from forums. I would only wear this at home, or under hoodies.
Category 2, Summer Box 2022
First Aid Beauty Ingrown Hair Pads & KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub
The secondary reason why I got the summer box, instead of switching it for credit, as I’m an annual member.
I had recently run out of my own KP Bump Eraser, so I figured why not. I didn’t realize it was a smaller bottle than what I usually get, but not a big deal.
I’ve used the hair pads, but haven’t really noticed a big difference – though I’ll acknowledge I don’t use it as regularly.
Category 3, Summer Box 2022
BaubleBar + Sanctuary Project Bundle
The pièce de résistance & the main reason I decided to opt-in for the summer box.
I’ve been wanting to try out a necklace-layering clasp for a while, but it didn’t seem worth it to buy only that from online jewelry shops, and I was worried the ones from Amazon would tarnish fast.
I think some designs say that this will keep necklaces from tangling, but that wasn’t the case with this.
Either way, I’m still glad I have one now!
Category 4, Summer Box 2022
Lasting Smiles Soy Candle – Sea Salt and Citrus
Eh. It wasn’t a strong scent cold, and it certainly does not have a strong throw when it’s lit.
My verdict is this: I should’ve picked something else. It’s nothing special, and it doesn’t even smell amazing. It doesn’t smell bad either, but it was just so unremarkable – which I think is worse.
I wish I picked something else from this category, but at the same time nothing else seemed interesting.
Category 5, Summer Box 2022 (only annual members can customize)
Cuccio Naturale Milk & Honey Cuticle Oil
I have dry skin, and that only gets worse during winter – even for what passes as winter in California.
I tried this and I don’t think it made that big of a difference. We’ll see how it holds up, come winter.
grace & stella pink eye masks – 12 pack
Additional choice for $7
Definitely feels nice and hydrating while I have it on.
I also like that whatever liquid it’s in, doesn’t leave a viscous residue once I take off the eye mask. Not sure if the pink makes it better than others, but I’m open to the possibility.
Category 6, Summer Box 2022 (only annual members can customize)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Velvet
The lipstick was surprisingly not overly drying, for a matte finish.
I would still layer some lip balm or moisturizer before I put this on, but it’s not as bad as other matte lipsticks I’ve tried.
The color is an almost perfect nude for me, for which I’m glad. It doesn’t quite make my lips disappear into my face, but it helps my eye makeup stand out!
Add-ons
Chic & Tonic Coral Sea Collection Reusable Lunch Bags (set of 3)
for $9.
This is nice enough, but I wouldn’t buy it again. It’s so thin it squishes down fragile food like cookies.
Rodial Beauty Pink Diamond Instant Lifting Serum
for $39.99.
This was a bit of an “oops” moment on my part. I’ve heard good reviews, but it’s usually sold out, so once it became available I added it to my cart. I wasn’t sure if I actually wanted to try it though, and thought about removing it. But I forgot to do so before the sale ended, so here it is. I like the subtle shimmer it gives me. Not sure if it’s an “instant lifting” effect, but it’s nice enough. Not sure if I would buy it again for that price though.
Spongellé® Boxed Flower 14+ (Sugar Crush scent)
for $7.
I was curious about the scent, mostly, and I was hoping to bring it next time I travel by plane.
Crest Whitening Emulsions Leave-on Teeth Whitening with Wand Applicator
for $0 (Free with purchase of $15 or more).
I didn’t notice a difference after one use, though I’m not sure if I was supposed to. It felt weird in my mouth, and I felt like I had to brush a lot just to get the residue off. I was just curious and figured why not, since I can get it for free. Definitely would not pay for this though.
